Story 4

"Every year my family, which consisted of my mother Mary, father James, my sister Briege, my late brother Seamus, and myself, came for the month of July to Carnlough. We came along with my mother's sister Bridget and her husband Bobby Hamilton and their family. We stayed at 5 Marine Road. My young brother Seamus (RIP) along with a cousin, Martin, took part in the fancy dress competition. Seamus dressed as a Canadian Mountie and Martin as a footballer. We also stayed in a house owned by Joe Maginess at Carnlough harbour during the 1970s.

The festival was the highlight of the July month with lots of events and a time of great fun. Carnlough provided our family with lots of happy memories."
